Nendaz assembles several villages and hamlets with ancestral 'raccards', and benefits from a unique network of 8 bisses. Various hiking paths run alongside these historic irrigation canals which are open to the sky and invite one, from spring to autumn, to go for varied and easy walks offering magnificent views. Nendaz is equally the departure point of numerous open-air attractions, such as the International Alphorn Festival, the Japanese garden of Siviez, the Lac Noir of Tracouet, the Mont-Fort, dominating the 4 Valleys from the top of its 3,330 metres, the numerous marked circuits for hiking and mountain-biking and, to recharge one's batteries, the Spa des Bisses. These activities will enchant those who love great open spaces with, as a bonus, a grandiose panorama over the plain of the Rhône and the Bernese Alps.
